Why I built this
I've spent years teaching English to adult learners. People with jobs, families, and real lives who already speak some English but can't seem to break through to the next level.
They weren't beginners. They didn't need to learn the alphabet or count to ten. What they needed was exposure to real English -- the kind spoken in podcasts, at work, and between friends -- and a way to practice speaking it without feeling embarrassed.
Every app I found was built for beginners. Gamified lessons, cartoon characters, basic vocabulary. Nothing designed for someone who already knows English but just can't get past that wall.
So I built Howdy English. For the learner who's stuck in the middle and ready to break through.
